Obsidian Entertainment recently made their interest in remastering Alpha Protocol known.
The original Alpha Protocol was released back in 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It was developed by Obsidian and published by Sega. The game is an action-RPG which sees players assume the role of Michael Thorton, a highly skilled secret agent newly recruited into a clandestine United States agency called Alpha Protocol, which has unlimited resources to conduct covert operations on behalf of the government.
Douglas Bogart, owner of publishing company Limited Run Games, recently posted a poll asking his followers whether they'd be interested in a remake of Alpha Protocol. Though Bogart's tweet alone is enough to raise an eyebrow, it gets taken to another level by Obsidian's response. Check out both tweets below - and don't forget to vote in the poll:
Though this is exciting news for fans of Alpha Protocol, don't get your hopes up just yet. This isn't outright confirmation that a remaster will happen and, though Obsidian are eager, it might be up to Sega to green-light the project.
What do you think? Would you like Alpha Protocol to be remastered?
Alpha Protocol is available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
