In May of 2019, independent developer Moonsprout Games announced a brand-new role-playing game called Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling; revealing that the game would release on PC in September of that year, and at some point later on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
A quick look at the announcement trailer immediately gave players the impression that they were looking at the Paper Mario game that Nintendo hasn't delivered pretty much since Paper Mario: The Tousand Year Door released for the GameCube in 2004.
Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling was slightly delayed on PC, but it eventually ended up releasing in November — getting a lot of praise from critics and mainstream audiences alike; who drew comparisons with Nintendo's Paper Mario series — particularly the first two games.
Unfortunately, developer Moonsprout Games had to push back the home console release date, but the good news is that the game has finally become available today fore the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and even Xbox One; giving players the chance to experience a charming role-playing adventure.
Now that Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling has finally become available, we get a charming gameplay trailer that gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect from this title, and the reception so far has been overwhelmingly positive! Most definitely a must-buy.
