Sega has announced today that
Citizens of Space will be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam(PC) on the
18th of June; taking players on a crazy adventure through space, as they try to solve the mystery of Earth's disappearance.
Citizens of Space is being developed by Eden Industries, and is a direct follow-up to
Citizens of Earth, a role-playing game with a very interesting kind of humor that borderlines being crude, yet fascinatingly charming; to better illustrate, it is the kind of humor found in Nintendo's critically acclaimed, and long-neglected
Earthbound/Mother series.
According to Sega's description, some gameplay mechanics in
Citizens of Space, such as the combat and the party recruitment have been tweaked since the first game. Combat still seems to be turn-based, but there are some changes that make it look even more dynamic than before, as characters will now actually approach the enemies and, well, fight them.
