Shining Resonance Refrain is a role-playing game developed by Media.Vision and published by Sega. The game is part of the
Shining series that stem from the Sega Genesis era with
Shining in the Darkness, that was released in 1991.
Shining in the Darkness was directed by Hiroyuki Takahashi who has since left the Shining series and moved on to start Camelot Software Planning, who have partnered with Nintendo and developed the
Golden Sun series, as well as
Mario Tennis.
The latest entry in the
Shining series,
Shining Resonance Refrain, was originally released in 2014 for the PlayStation 3 but was never localised outside of Japan until the game was finally announced for Western audiences in February of this year.
Shining Resonance Refrain was announced for the PlayStation 4 , Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC and it will see a release at some point during 2018.
In the latest trailer for
Shining Resonance Refrain we are introduced to Kirika Towa Alma, Sonia Blanche, Agnum Bulletheart, Lestin Serra Alma, Rinna Mayfield, and main character Yuma Ilvern, showing off some of their fighting moves, such as normal attack,s break attacks, force abilities. We also get glimpses of some conducting moves that the player can use to "conduct" other members of their party to unleash even more powerful attacks.

Shining Resonance Refrain will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC on the 10th of July.
