Modus Games and Dreams Uncorporated have recently announced
Cris Tales, which is a self-proclaimed love letter to classic JRPG titles, and is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) at some point
in 2020.
From the get-go, we can't help but notice the wonderful art style that Dreams Uncorporated have decided to use in
Cris Tales, which gives it a very unique and charming look that mimics that of an animated cartoon; an art style that fits perfectly with the JRPG genre.
According to the developer,
Cris Tales has drawn some inspiration from some classic, and iconic titles like
Chrono Trigger,
Final Fantasy VI, and even from some newer series like
Bravely Default and Atlus' insanely popular
Persona 5; meaning that turn-based combat is the preferred gameplay style for this brand-new intellectual property.
