A developer of Cyberpunk 2077 recently participated in an interview with a polish radio station and discussed the upcoming game's narrative.
Given all the trailers and footage of
Cyberpunk 2077 that has been released thus far, it's unlikely that anyone thinks the highly anticipated game will be a light-hearted affair. Nonetheless, the game's lead quest designer, Pawel Sasko explained that
Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a mature story and tackle sensitive subjects that a lot of media shies away from.
Though the interview was wholly spoken in Polish,
a helpful redditor provided an explanation of some interesting things that Sasko had to say. According to the developer, CD Projekt Red's goal was to create a movie-like narrative that dives deep into topics of our modern world.
Sasko went on to say that
Cyberpunk 2077 won't be black-and-white. Players will have to think for themselves and tackle difficult scenarios which will have them questioning the morality of the game's protagonist and thereby also their own. So, it sounds like a pretty happy-go-lucky affair overall.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on April 16th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
