Grimlore Games'
SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest will be releasing on May 28th, THQ Nordic has announced.
To celebrate the reveal of the upcoming stand-alone expansion’s release date, the publisher has shared an all-new gameplay trailer for
Soul Harvest, putting the spotlight on the dark elves faction. According to the developer, the DLC will tell a brand-new chapter in the game's story, featuring a fresh single-player campaign with over 20 hours of content that blends RTS and RPG mechanics. Furthermore, all already established factions (namely orcs, humans and elves) will get three unique playable heroes.
The description of dark elves also suggests that they don't respect any authority: "
You're an empire of moths, each flapping off on its own, searching for the light - we're hornets, part of a hive. Yes, on our own, you might match us; three of yours against three of ours, and we'll see how the dice fall."
Dwarves are also set to debut in
Soul Harvest, so THQ should reveal new details on that faction in the coming days, just in time for the expansion’s big release. Be sure to take a look at the DLC down below:
Three years after the Purity Wars, Nortander is on the cusp of a new era. However, things aren't as peaceful as they seem - when the Queen calls you, a disgraced General, back to your homeland, you're plunged in a war on many fronts: While a hatemonger threatens to tear apart the Dwarven realm, an enigmatic cult of Dark Elves harvests the souls of people for reasons unknown.
Soul Harvest will be available on May 28th as a stand-alone expansion for SpellForce 3 on PC.
