There's no denying that World War II-set video games are nothing new, but the newly announced
Warsaw is a breath of fresh air in this always popular subgenre. Developed at Pixelated Milk (
Regalia: Of Men And Monarchs),
Warsaw is coming to PS4, NS, and PC this fall, giving you a chance to learn more about one of the lesser-known WWII operations – the Warsaw Uprising – the Polish underground resistance's tragic attempt to liberate Warsaw from German occupation in the summer of 1944.
At its core,
Warsaw is a WWII turn-based tactical RPG with beautiful hand-painted graphics, quite similar to 2016's sleeper hit
Darkest Dungeon (its sequel was announced a few days ago). According to Pixelated Milk,
Warsaw will feature a "
deep tactical combat system with multitude of complementing skills, weapons and character abilities" and "
incredible replay value due to non-linear gameplay."
Be sure to take a closer look at Pixelated Milk’s
Warsaw and the Polish Underground Army's dash to regain control of the occupied city in the upcoming game's official announcement trailer down below:
