The third entry in the
Darksiders saga releases on November 27th, giving you a chance to embark on an epic journey with Fury, the impetuous sister of War and Death, protagonists of two previous
Darksiders titles. The threequel spotlights Fury's quest to save War, who's been punished for triggering the apocalypse. To do that, Fury must destroy The Seven Deadly Sins, beings possessing god-like powers.
The latest episode of Game Informer's podcast focuses on the past and future of the
Darksiders future, seen from this perspective of Gunfire Games' president David Adams, who also co-founded
Darksiders' original creators, Vigil Games. He also revealed new details on THQ's closure and the fact that when Nordic acquired the rights to the brand, they also bought the names of the shutdown studios.
During the interview, Adams confirmed that
Darksiders III's budget is smaller than the previous slasher games', but that's not necessarily a bad thing, as it has forced Gunfire to focus on the important things like combat and traversal, forgetting about RPG mechanics that debuted in
Darksiders II. According to Adams, the original plan hasn't changed and players can expect to play as Strife in the potential fourth chapter, leading to a four-player
Darksiders co-op experience at some point in the future. Check it out:
Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.
Darksiders III will be available for PlayStation 4 , PC, and Xbox One on November 27, 2018.
