In September of 2018, Square Enix announced that quite a handful of titles in the Final Fantasy series would be re-released on current-gen consoles; some of which got some tweaks that enhanced the original experience, while others would get some graphical improvements.
These Final Fantasy titles have been released somewhat sporadically, and the only remaining title to finally be made available is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition; a game that was released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003, and has never been re-released.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles never being re-released, coupled with the fact that not that many players owned a Nintendo GameCube have made its remastered edition one of the most highly anticipated titles out of the ones that Square Enix initially announced, and we are now only two days away from its long-awaited release.
One thing that many players may not know is that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles isn't a traditional Final Fantasy RPG, as it is more of a co-op game than any other numbered entry. With that said, the game is perfectly playable in single player, but players will likely get the most out of it playing with others.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, as well as on iOS and Android devices, this Thursday the 27th of August. For those who may still want to know more about the soon-to-be-released title, Square Enix has released an in-depth behind the scenes video that will tell players everything they need to know before it finally launches.
It is also worth mentioning that this new behind the scenes video for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is entirely in Japanese, so don't forget to hit the Close Captions button; unless, of course, you know Japanese.
