The Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons franchise is one of Nintendo's oldest and most niche farming/ role-playing franchises. The game originally released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and gained massive appeal for its laid back play style and freedom of expression.
The games that followed after have been published on every major console since its debut. One game, titled Doraemon: Story of Seasons, acted as a crossover with the iconic character Doraemon!
Most recently, Natsume and Rising Star Game's released Harvest Moon: Light of Hope in 2018 for smartphones, Switch and PS4. A year later, Harvest Moon: Mad Dash was released for the Switch and PS4 in the west.
The series has never stopped releasing successful titles, and even now, it appears that the trend is continuing. In a recent reveal from the game developers, another new game in the hit franchise is on its way!
In a digital presentation for the New Game+ Expo, Natsume and Rising Star Games announced that Harvest Moon: One World would be coming to the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 later this year! The game has been described to have an all-new engine and graphics to keep things new and fun for the fans.
