Kingdom Hearts 3 is the next installment in the
Kingdom Hearts RPG franchise which launched with the original
Kingdom Hearts back in 2002, combining new heroes with favorite characters from Square Enix and beloved Disney properties. The third chapter of this amazing series was announced at E3 2013, and it looks like Square Enix's latest game is finally ready to be shown publicly.
Last week, director Tetsuya Nomura said that the plan is "to announce [the release date] early next month," Nomura announced via translation. "We are making final, last-minute adjustments, but we are pretty firm on a certain date, so we hope to reveal it next month." We should expect this reveal during Square Enix's E3 2018 live stream on Monday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. PDT / 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Recently, Square gave the press a chance to check out one of the game's worlds, Hercules’ Olympus, as well as a longer segment of the Toy Story-themed world Toy Box, where Sheriff Woody and Wreck-It Ralph unite to fight an evil and pretty big boss. The cause of the long delays, switching engines during production, upgrading from their in-house engine into Unreal Engine 4 generates truly wonderful vistas and little details, and it's amazing that
Kingdom Heats 3 looks better than some of Pixar's movies.
KINGDOM HEARTS III is coming to Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4 in 2018.
