Earlier today, Nintendo decided to hold a short Nintendo Direct to show what some of the partner developers have been working on for the hit console. One of the games that got a pretty big announcement was the newest installment in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory.
The latest game in the franchise is something that the games have never fully explored (aside from one tedious level in Kingdom Hearts 2), and that is to create a rhythm game. With over 140 songs to hack and slash through as some of the series' most iconic characters, the game will allow players to experience a musical nostalgia trip that pulls from the farthest corners of the Kingdom Hearts universe.
A brand new video was recently released that talks about what is in store for players upon release. Some of the latest additions include local and online co-op and even boss battles to help mix up some of the playstyles. Ultimately, the game will have players access a catalog of songs and cutscenes from all of the previous titles in the series!
One of the best reveals of the video is that the game will also feature a new chapter to further the main narrative of the game! Make sure to check out the video below and don't forget to tell us your thoughts in the comments!
In Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, a whole host of familiar Disney friends, foes and adventures await. Players will experience the magic of musical exploration by traversing through worlds packed with rhythm-action challenges as they collect and master over 140 songs from the Kingdom Hearts series along the way.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory releases in North America on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on November 13th!
