Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn has confirmed via social media that Mass Effect 3 will not adopt the often very controversial DLC pre-order model, though considering the fact that the series has never made use of a season pass, perhaps that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. It's unclear what this means for future DLC; will it be free or are players going to have to pay for it all individually?
We don't know as of right now, as Flynn went on to say only that "we'll talk more about that later" when he was pushed for details on how this will work. Past story packs for the franchise have been hailed as being among the best expansions ever made for a video game series, though various multiplayer item booster packs have drawn criticism. Now, Bioware needs to find the right balance!
