MEGA MAN Is Looking To Make The Jump To The Big Screen!
Mega Man will be one of the next video game adaptions coming to the big screen as Twentieth Century Fox has tapped the directors of, Catfish, to write and direct the film.
Mega Man, is coming to the silver screen, and it seems to have found the visionaries to lead it. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Catfish co-directors, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, are in talks to direct the film.
Joost and Schulman will serve as the writers the film as well that will be produced by Chernin Entertainment and Masi Oka. The movie will be distributed by Twentieth Century Fox, who after a couple of years of trying, aquired the rights to the video game franchise.
Mega Man was first released in 1987 and has spawned multiple sequels, comic books and cartoons. The story follows the robotic lab assistant of Dr. Light, nicknamed Rock, who volunteers himself to be converted into a fighting robot after Dr. Wiley reprograms all of Dr. Light's other robot for evil.
As of right now, there is no release date for the movie.
