Octopath Traveler is a turn-based role-playing game developed by Square Enix, and that was initilly released as an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch, and was eventually ported to PC(Steam) with some graphical enhancements that made the game look better than ever.
In the game players take the role of 8 different protagonists, and explore a massive world where they will have to fight some powerful enemies in order to move forward; eventually making new allies that will help each other progress through their own stories.
What's perhaps the ost interesting aspect of the game is its HD-2D graphics — a term coined by Square Enix — that gives Octopath Traveler a retro 16-bit look while also making use of dynamic lighting and 3D environments; most definitely a one-of-a-kind title.
The music in Octopath Traveler is also one of the game's main selling points, since it perfectly evokes that sense of adventure and wonder that takes us back to the past in the same way that the game's pixelated graphics do.
Today Square Enix has announced that their award-winning Octopath Traveler is now available on Stadia, releasing a gameplay trailer that will give players an idea of what to expect from this phenomenal game.
