Square Enix has just released a new gameplay trailer for Tokyo RPG's upcoming Oninaki — a role-playing game that is being overseen by Takashi Tokita, who directed the critically acclaimed
Chrono Trigger; although isn't actually directing this new itle, but acting as its Creative Producer.
This new gameplay trailer shows off this active type of combat which, unlike
Chrono Trigger or other Square Enix titles like most games in the
Final Fantasy series, does away with turn-based actions in order to provide players with a more dynamic combat system.
Alongside the new gameplay trailer for
Oninaki, it's also been announced that the game's demos has become available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam; just a month before
Oninaki finally becomes available on the
22nd of August.
Check it out:
ONINAKI tells the story of one Watcher on a journey to protect Life, after Death. Players will uncover the mysteries of life, death and what’s beyond as protagonist, Kagachi moving between the Living World and the realm of the dead known as the Beyond.
