Shadows of Adam is a 16-Bit style RPG heavily inspired by games like Lufia II, Final Fantasy VI, and Chrono Trigger, among others. The game is developed, and published by independent studio Something Classic Games and was released for PC, Linux and Mac in February of 2017.
Besides the classic 16-Bit graphics, the game features a deep character-driven story that offers 10 to 12 hours of gameplay, blazing turn-based battles, four playable characters, and no random encounters as the enemies appear on the map like they do in games like
Chrono Trigger.
Like most RPGs, Shadows of Adam looks, and plays like the games it's inspired by, and now players will be able to play it on the go as the game has been officially announced for the Nintendo Switch via a post on social media. As per the post, Something Classic Games has teamed up with game developer Circle Entertainment to port the game to the Nintendo Switch as it makes its console debut.
Check out some of Shadows of Adam's details:
Tucked away from the outside world by the impenetrable haze of the Misty Woods, the village of Adam has mostly lived in peace since the days of the Wraith War. Magic, the dark power that fueled that war has vanished. But darkness is descending once more and Adam’s legendary hero, Orazio, is no more.
10 years ago he left without explanation and never returned, leaving his son and adopted daughter to wrestle with the dark secret he left behind—a secret that must now be revealed if the children hope to save both Adam and their departed father, though its revelation could unhinge the world.
