Shining Resonance Refrain is the latest title in the Shining series by Sega that originated in the early 90s with Shining in the Drkness for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
The latest entry in the series was actually released for the PlayStation 3 back in 2014 but never made it to Western countries until now that
Shining Resonance Refrain was ported to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
The Japanese version of the game had Princess Excella as the main antagonist but in the "
Refrain Mode" of the game she is now a playable character alongside Dragonslayer Jinas—who can now be added as party members, although it would be wise to save the
Refrain Mode for a second playthrough in order to avoid spoilers.
Shining Resonance Refrain is finally here and Sega has shared a launch trailer that shows off some of the game's characters, neat transformations, the massive world the game is set in, and some of the fearsome enemies the band of Dragoneers will encoutner in this adventure.
Check it out:
A band’s music is only as good as its members and your team in Shining Resonance Refrain is no different. Carrying the powerful weapon/instruments called Armonics, each hero can devastate your enemies with a powerful melody.
Shining Resonance Refrain is available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC today.
