Valkyria Chronicles is a series tactical role-playing games, developed and published by Sega, that originated on the PlayStation 3 back in 2008, with
Valkyria Chronicles 4—the latest entry in the series—releasing last month on the 15th of September.
At the PAX event in September, before the launch of
Valkyria Chronicles 4, Sega made the announcement that the original
Valkyria Chronicles was making its way into the Nintendo Switch, and would become available digitally on the
16th of October.
Valkyria Chronicles for the Nintendo Switch would not be a remastered edition of the original game, but the exact same title released on the PlayStation 3. Sega also revealed that players who purchased
Valkyria Chronicles 4 on the Nintendo eShop would get a 25% discount on
Valkyria Chronicles for the Nintendo Switch, making it a pretty good deal for players who want to double-dip and get both titles
Today,
Valkyria Chronicles has finally released on the Nintendo Switch eShop, and Sega has released a new trailer to celebrate this particular occasion.
