There isn't a video game developer out there that doesn't use the DLC as a "money grab," but maybe that is all about to change. CD Projekt Red has given players more than they bargained for when it comes to The Witcher 3. Since the launch of the game, they've given 16 free DLCs to customers who purchased there game. Not only is the game amazing, but there is playable content after the game ends. The DLC's also entice players to play through it one more time. Here is a thank you from Marcin Iwiński, co-founder of CD Projekt RED,
“I’d like to extend my thanks to all the gamers who played our game and gave these DLCs a try. Nothing makes a developer happier than seeing gamers have fun with what they created,” Iwiński adds, noting that “I would really like to see such initiatives become an industry standard rather than an exception to the general rule, and I hope that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has set a good example.”
