Many fans beg CD Projekt Red to make another
Witcher game featuring Geralt of Rivia. Well, if you share the same needs, the Polish developer has two news for you, as always one is bad and one is good. The bad news is that you can stop asking Reds about it, because Geralt won't return, or at least won't be the main character in the series anymore.
Here's the good news - the developer behind
The Witcher saga is not planning to abandon the universe created in books by Andrzej Sapkowski, just the opposite! In an interview, Adam Kiciński, the president of CD Projekt ensured that it would be illogical to completely forget about what they achieved:
There won't be The Witcher 4, as a part of the history, because that history is already closed. We still got the rights, we bought them and it's hard to imagine that we've invested 15 years of our lifes and no one knows how much money to promote The Witcher and just like that we'll forget about everything. Fans wouldn't forgive us, the investors wouldn't forgive us, but of course, we have to create something fun.
As for now, CD Projekt is working hard on
Cyberpunk 2077, the game announced back in 2013. Also, let's not forget about
GWENT: The Witcher Card Game that's strongly supported by the developer. So if you can't wait to visit The Northern Kingdoms again, I would highly recommend checking out
Gwent.
