Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest now has a ship date. Trailmark Games and the Coolabi Group say the first official Warrior Cats game arrives October 23 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Console digital pre-orders are open. The Standard Edition is £24.99. The Feral Edition is £34.99 digital and at retail. PC pre-orders come later. Anyone who pre-orders either edition from a digital storefront gets The Purrfect Look pack for the Cat Creator.
This is the series' first real console and PC game after more than twenty years of novels, merch, Roblox maps, and fan films. Coolabi puts the wider book catalog, including Warrior Cats, Beast Quest, and Lady Grace, past 200 million copies. Warrior Cats alone runs more than 100 books under the Erin Hunter name. The official site is already pointing fans at October 23 as leaf-fall, the in-world season that matches the calendar.
Erin Hunter wrote four new storylines for the game. That credit matters here. Hunter is a house name, a rotating team of writers that has kept ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan in print since Into the Wild in 2003. The game does not adapt one novel cover to cover. Each Clan gets its own campaign built around that Clan's habits, borders, and grudges. You pick a Clan, make a cat, train as an apprentice under a new prophecy, and climb the ranks while the other three camps stay hostile on the map.
Bamtang Games is developing it. Trailmark is publishing. Creative director Adam Johnston has said the room includes dedicated series fans whose job is to stop the build from breaking Clan law by accident. The pitch they keep repeating is hunt, patrol, fight, and listen when StarClan talks.
Combat is turn-based, up to three cats on a side. Steam's page lists 75 unique moves. Stances and Clan abilities sit on top of that. Predators and rival patrols are the trash fights. Named cats and set-piece bosses are the ones that use StarClan tricks. Between battles you explore forest, marsh, and moor, climb, and track scent. The listed map is the Lake Territories version of the books: ThunderClan woods, RiverClan water, ShadowClan pines, WindClan moor, plus the Moonpool and the Island. Hidden paths and small environmental puzzles are part of the sales copy. So is a den you can decorate and show off through asynchronous visits.
The Cat Creator is the other half of the trailer. Fur, color, tail, whiskers, ears, eyes, markings. The Feral Edition stacks more on that:
- 8 extra Cat Creator elements
- 12 wearable accessories
- A cel-shaded character skin
- 4 photo mode poses
- 4 photo mode effects
Book cats show up beside game originals. Official art and the site have already named Tawnypelt, Brightheart, Tallstar, and Ivypool. Cover art puts Tawnypelt and Brightheart in the same fight as a custom player cat. The promise is that your apprentice can stand next to those names without the game treating the player as a silent extra.
Coolabi has been farming the IP in places that are not boxed games. The company cites more than 700 million Roblox plays, more than half a billion views of user-generated Warrior Cats videos on YouTube, and almost 2.9 billion TikTok views. An animated series is in the works with Tencent, and Disney picked it up for distribution toward a 2028 window. Clans of the Forest is the first time that audience gets a full retail RPG with a rating of Everyone 10+.
The October date is tight. The game was revealed in early August. That is a short public cycle for a four-campaign RPG. Trailmark is selling it as a complete first game, not a live-service island. No extra seasons were listed in the pre-order note. What you buy on the 23rd is the four Clan stories, the creator, the Lake map, and whatever photo-mode toys come with Feral.
Price positioning is clear. £24.99 is the digital base on consoles. £34.99 is the deluxe skin-and-pose bundle, and that one also hits physical shelves. U.S. storefronts have been listing Feral around $39.99. The digital pre-order bonus is the same Look pack either way. PC buyers wait for Steam and Epic to open their own carts.
Warrior Cats has always been a series about picking a side and living with the patrol roster that comes with it. The game copies that structure. Four campaigns means four first runs if you care about every prophecy. Relationships and rank are listed as branching. StarClan is the mystery layer sitting over the hunt-and-border loop.
