Sonic Frontiers was officially revealed at The Game Awards annual event earlier this month with an exciting announcement trailer — which you can check out here.

This trailer reveals that Sonic Frontiers will be a new step for the Sonic the Hedgehog game series, into the realm of open-world. It seems akin to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey and Shadow of the Colossus — all of which are behemoths of the gaming world.

The trailer also revealed that Sonic Frontiers will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC next year, specifically in Holiday 2022. Well, now it seems that we can get even more specific than that as the game's full release date appears to have already leaked online.

According to PlayStation database tracker, PlayStation Game Size (@PlayStationSize), Sonic the Hedgehog's next game will be coming out on November 15th, 2022. This certainly lines up with the aforementioned Holiday 2022 window and it's also in-keeping with the release dates of prior instalments in the series.

Of course, take this with a grain of salt. It's by no means official confirmation, but it is something to keep in mind nonetheless.
