Spyro: Reignited Trilogy has been officially delayed and will no longer be coming out on the 21st of September and it has, instead, been pushed all the way back to November.

The announcement was made by Co-Studio head of Toys for Bob, Paul Yan, who stated that Spyro: Reignited Trilogy has been delayed because they it still needs some tweaking, and that the game will officially be releasing on the 13th of November instead.

Earlier this month, we found out that Spyro: Reignited Trilogy was only including one game in the disc, and that the other two games would have to be downloaded from the Internet. It turns out that this wasn't the case at all since all 3 games are included in the disc and can only be played when the disc is in the console. While this only speculation, perhaps this is one of the few things that they have decided to focus on that is causing the delay.

Here's the announcement posted on the Activision Games Blog:

Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyrotrilogy after all these years. We're deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care.  In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.

Delays are not always a bad thing, though, especially when you can tell the developers are legitimately trying to deliver the best product possible instead of releasing an unfinished product so, as stated in the announcement, hopefully we'll all agree that this extra time was worth the wait.

Explore the expansive realms, re-encounter the fiery personalities and relive the adventure in fully remastered glory. Because when there’s a realm that needs saving, there’s only one dragon to call.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 13th of November.
