If you're on the fence about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's launch-day roster of King Shark, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and Deadshot, then you're in luck.
During the game's alpha test, dataminers were able to dive into the game's source code and find evidence that Rocksteady is planning for future DLC centered around Killer Croc and Deathstroke. There was also reportedly code for two additional playable characters but dataminers were unable to confirm their identity.
Additionally, two game modes were also unearthed by dataminers:
- a Horde mode where a group of 4 players will team up to fight increasingly-difficult waves of enemies
- a mysterious PVP & PVE hybrid game mode (similar to Destiny 2's Gambit) where players will attempt to fight off waves of enemies while a lone, rogue gamer attempt to sabotage them.
Gamers are currently trying to figure out if Killer Croc and Deathstroke will be entirely new characters or just re-skins of King Shark and Deadshot, respectively as these villains have similar powersets.
A closed alpha took place between November 30 and December 4, with little hoopla, a potential sign that the game isn't exactly high on many people's radars.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, 2024.
