After a rocky week for Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the developer appears to be soldiering on with the release of a new "gameplay launch" trailer.
Last week, embargos from a special event the developer had with several video game outlets lifted and the write-ups for first impressions didn't exactly put the game in the best light.
The most positive spin that any outlet wrote up was that the game has a foundation in place that could eventually be turned into something great, even if the launch version of the game will likely leave players wanting.
Rocksteady should view that sentiment as a win, as they've already confirmed that they'll be adding other members to the Task Force X roster as time passes. These additional characters will be free, with only cosmetic items being locked behind a paywall.
Now, a new gameplay launch trailer has been released, which appears to be winning over skeptical fans as they become excited about the game's build possibilities.
According to Rocksteady's previous statements regarding the game's plot, the Suicide Squad will increase their power set to take on the Justice League by raiding the League's own Hall of Justice armory and taking a few essential items that will provide vital power-ups, like some of Batman's gadgets, Dr. Sivana's Speed Force Gauntlet, and more.
Additionally, the TaskForce X team will have backup in the form of the "Support Squad", which consists of Poison Ivy, Penguin, Gizmo, Hack and Toyman.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, 2024. Do you plan on purchasing the title on day one or will you wait to see how the servers hold up and what the consensus is from nonmedia outlets who received free, early copies?
