Operation Para Bellum will let players explore a new territory, The Villa, which will be the nineteenth map of
Rainbow Six: Siege. New operators, maps, gear, and improvements will be introduced thanks to Year 3, and this time it will be mostly inspired by Italia. The update will also bring the Pick & Ban system which will finally give players the ability to counter opponents by banning certain Operators.
The Villa map promises “
wide staircases, narrow tunnels, and secret hatches,” but don't let the beautiful setting confuse you as "
some of its floors are destructible and can fully expose you," and the density of the main building makes it seem that most roaming routes will be vertical.
Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Para Bellum will also introduce two brand new defenders, Alibi and Maestro.
Maestro is an expert when it comes to blocking access to key locations, as he possesses a rare skill to see through smoke and mirrors. Alibi was inspired by undercover infiltration specialists in the Italian Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale unit. She is a cunning woman with a gift for infiltrating dense networks of organized crime. Alibi possesses the ability to use holograms to confuse her enemies and other operators. You will have a chance to see what they're capable of starting tomorrow.
The Siege is a brand-new style of gameplay embracing the reality of counter-terrorist operatives across the world: intense and asymmetrical close-quarters combat between attackers and defenders. As a defender, you will have the means to transform your environment into strongholds to prevent the attackers from breaching. As an attacker, you will have many planning options to face this challenge and defuse these situations.
