Summer’s almost here, so Rainbow Six Siege is kicking in the door of a nice Italian villa ostensibly to stop terrorists or something but more likely to claim a place in the Tuscan sun. Operation Para Bellum goes live today for Season Pass holders and June 17 for everyone else ,bringing with it a host of new features including the new map, new operators, some major bug fixes, tweaks, and balance changes.
Alibi is a new defender that debuts today in Para Bellum, and she's all about finding clever ways to force the Attackers’ hands. Her character was inspired by undercover infiltration specialists in the Italian Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale unit. She is a fast-moving infiltration expert and a cunning woman with a gift for infiltrating dense networks of organized crime armed with a submachine gun.
The second defender, Adriano Martello (or simply Maestro) is an expert on blocking access to key locations, as he can use the ability to see through smoke, tear gas, and even mirrors. His character was inspired by explorers from the Italian counter-terrorism unit, Gruppo di Intervento Speciale (G.I.S.), which is well-known for their brilliant exploration, reconnaissance, and scouting techniques.
The Siege is a brand-new style of gameplay embracing the reality of counter-terrorist operatives across the world: intense and asymmetrical close-quarters combat between attackers and defenders. As a defender, you will have the means to transform your environment into strongholds to prevent the attackers from breaching. As an attacker, you will have many planning options to face this challenge and defuse these situations.
