Ubisoft has proudly announced that the next major
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege expansion will be titled
Operation Burnt Horizon. According to the French publisher, we will learn more about this pinky DLC during this year's Six Invitational 2019, the first major
Rainbow Six tournament of 2019 that will take place from February 11th to 17th 2019, in the home of
Siege – Montreal, Canada.
Just like all the previous free DLCs, Year 4 will be divided into four separate expansions and each of them will be themed around a nation's counterterrorism unit (CTU). Rumor has it that Ubisoft will include two new operators from Australia, Defender Mozzie and Attacker Gridlock. In addition to that, the team at Ubisoft Montreal is also apparently planning to redesign the Hamburg-set Kanal map.
In the latest financial report, Ubisoft revealed that
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege has reached a massive 40 million players worldwide and that number will surely be even bigger after the inclusion of the upcoming Year 4 updates. Be sure to take a look at the first
Burnt Horizon artwork down below:
The Siege is a brand-new style of gameplay embracing the reality of counter-terrorist operatives across the world: intense and asymmetrical close-quarters combat between attackers and defenders. As a defender, you will have the means to transform your environment into strongholds to prevent the attackers from breaching. As an attacker, you will have many planning options to face this challenge and defuse these situations.
