Outright Games has debuted the reveal trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, a new 3D brawler/platformer developed in collaboration with Paramount Games.

Set after the events of Paramount Pictures' recent blockbuster movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, the upcoming game hopes to capture the playful teen spirit of the world's pizza-loving crime-fighters while delivering an "engaging, original storyline" featuring humor and action-packed combative gameplay.

The announcement trailer provides a brief overview of the premise of the game, while giving us our first look at actual gameplay. The graphics are clearly inspired by that of the movie, but the gameplay itself looks like fast-paced platform action.

The trailer also confirms that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed will be released on October 18th of this year. As previously announced, it will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam) for $39.99.

Back in May, publisher Outright Games actually revealed the game's Deluxe and Collector's Editions which are surprisingly exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The Deluxe Edition ($59.99) includes an exclusive steelbook, four pin badges, four key changes, and an artbook. The Collector's Edition ($199.99) offers all of the above, plus a poster, stickers, pen, notebook, mouse mat, LED Sign, Pizza Van Statue, and Season Pass (which suggests some post-launch content is in store as well).

"Embark on an pizza-fueled journey with Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo to battle an all-new wave of havoc-wreaking mutants as you join forces with familiar faces in thrilling missions across the streets of NYC!" the brief description reads.

Welcome to the streets of New York City, where the best pizza and human-mutant chaos reigns. It's up to the Turtle brothers to restore the peace in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed! New mutants (or as the Turtles coined them, Mewbies) have been doing well to be accepted by the citizens. But that all changed when some mutants began wreaking havoc. From the sewer to the skyscrapers, no corner is safe from the mess oozing through the city. It's got TCRI corporation written all over it. Now, it is up to the fearless four to unleash their unique ninja skills and stop the madness before the human-mutant relationship they worked for goes down the drain. Use that adrenaline pumping through your veins to save the city, and enlist the help of April and Splinter. Whether you are a seasoned ninjutsu master or a ninja in training, you can get through this new action-packed brawler game playing solo or in local co-op mode. Set in the Mutant Mayhem universe, it's filled with action, humour, and nostalgia.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed is developed by A Heartful of Games, a studio that has previous experience working on another family-friendly property in DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of the Nine Realms.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed isn't the only TMNT-inspired game coming our way this year. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, a previous iOS game, is making the jump to Nintendo Switch and PC later this year.
