The first episode of ILMxLAB and Lucasfilm's Star Wars virtual-reality series has released. Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series – Episode I is now available to play on the Oculus Quest.

Developers behind the Vader: Immortal call it less a game and more an experience. The VR title will allow players insight into Darth Vader's life, his power, and control over the Empire. Players control a smuggler who is tasked with helping Vader. But don't worry, you will still get to wield a lightsaber and explore many exciting locations - such as Vader's Castle.

The game's story is written by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises). To find out more about said story; check out the below synopsis and trailer (from Oculus' website):

Step inside a galaxy far, far away with Vader Immortal: Episode I - the beginning of a three-part series that combines immersive cinematic storytelling with dramatic interactive play. You are a smuggler operating near Mustafar, the fiery world Darth Vader calls home. When you are unexpectedly pulled out of hyperspace, you find yourself uncovering an ancient mystery at the behest of the Sith Lord himself.
