UNCHARTED Movie Being Fast Tracked As Shawn Levy Signs Up To Direct
Things are finally looking up for Uncharted as the long delayed video game adaptation has finally found a director in the form of Real Steel and Stranger Things helmer Shawn Levy. Check it out...
Deadline has revealed that Shawn Levy will direct Uncharted, the highly anticipated video game franchise which spanned four critically acclaimed instalments across the PS3 and PS4. When Joe Carnahan was hired to pen the screenplay, it was thought that he might also take the helm, but with Bad Boys For Life on the horizon, that was always far from a guarantee and he's now moved on to that.
Levy's credits include the likes of Night at the Museum, Real Steel, and a number of episodes of Netflix mega hit Stranger Things. He seems like a good fit for this property, and after years of delays which have seen numerous actors and directors flirt with the property, it's nice to see it finally come together. A release date hasn't been set yet, but expect to get some updates on that in the near future.
Do you think Shawn Levy is the right choice to direct the Uncharted movie? Weigh in on that below.
