BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL! is a fun game that has players solving puzzles using boxes in creative ways, and the latest trailer for the game teaches us some of the basics.

Developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, BoxBoy! is a series of puzzle games with platformer elements that its first game releasing for the Nintendo 3DS in January of 2015, which later got two sequels in the form of BoxBoxBoy! and Bye-Bye BoxBoy!.

Just last month, Nintendo announced that they were working on BoxBoy! + BoxGirl!, the fourth entry in the fun puzzle series, which is coming out exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 26th of April.

The BoxBoy! series has always featured some very simple gameplay mechanics, which has the players solving puzzles by using a determined number of boxes in order to advance through the levels. Each game intruduced new mechanics that made the puzzles even more of a challenge, but very satisfying to solve.

BoxBoy! + BoxGirl! is also introducing a few new gameplay mechanics, and today Nintendo has released a new trailer for the game — teaching players some of the essentials in order to make going through the levels a breeze.

Think outside the box to save a world in peril! As Qbby or Qucy, you’ll create boxes and use them to surmount more than 270 puzzling stages—the most in the series to date!

BoxBoy! + BoxGirl! will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 26th of April.
