Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a game that originally came out for the Wii U and stems from a mini game found in
Super Mario 3D World(2013). The mini game had Captain Toad solving clever puzzles on a small level in order to get all the Green Stars. Given the nature of the Wii U, the game relied heavily on the Gamepad's touch controls.
During March's Nintendo DIrect,
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was announced to come out for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS, and today we got a new gameplay trailer showing off some of the game's features.
In
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, players can play as Captain Toad, and Toadette, and the premise is simple—solve puzzles and collect treasure. The game on the Switch will allow players to play in co-op mode as they help eachother solve some puzzles, find hidden areas, and collect trasure—of course. As a new addition to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, players will be able to explore some new levels based on various
Super Mario Odyssey Kingdoms.
Crafty treasure-tracker Captain Toad is on his very own puzzling adventure. Track treasure through maze-like courses and explore new courses inspired by the Super Mario Odyssey™ game.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be available for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch on the 13th of July.
