The Nintendo Entertainment System app keeps getting it's monthly share of classic games, for subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online service that launched in September of last year. Ever since the service became available, players have been treated to three or two monthly games, and June is not the exception.
Double Dragon 2: The Revenge,
City Connection, and
Volleyball are the three new titles to join the NES app, and all three of these titles will become available for subscribers on the
12th of June; allowing them to relive these classics on the go or at home on their TVs.
While these are far from being bad games, it is still quite disappointing to see that Nintendo won't offer other games, or rather consoles, to their loyal subscribers. Super Nintendo, Game Boy, and the Nintendo 64 are some of their best-selling consoles, and fans want to see those games instead of NES titles that they've played to no end.
Hopefully they'll announce apps for other consoles during this year's E3 because more NES titles simply won't cut it. In the mean time, check out the trailer for this month's NES games for the Nintendo Switch Online service.
With a Nintendo Switch Online* membership, you’ll get access to online play in compatible games, a growing catalog of classic NES™ titles with newly added online play, and cloud backup for your save data in compatible games.
