The sequel to the masterpiece trilogy that shocked the world with its glorious transition from a 2D side-scroller to a full 3D first-person shooter is coming.
There's almost no information available right now, however we can assume that Retro Studios are working on the latest Metroid Prime; due to their cryptic social media posts hinting at work on a secret project, which must be this.
As said in the trailer, Metroid Prime is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch, meaning, it will be fully portable, it will look beautiful, it might utilize the Joy-Con Controllers' abilities and could feature local, or, even online multiplayer.
The game should be headlining Nintendo's E3 2018 Spotlight, like The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild did in 2016.
