The
Nintendo Switch Lite was finally revealed earlier in July, after having been rumored for quite some time; offering a slightly less expensive console with most of the elements that have made the handheld hybrid console a massive hit amongst players.
While the
Nintendo Switch Lite does away with the ability to dock the console and connect it to the TV, as well as getting rid of the joy-Con controllers, a good chunk of Nintendo fans have gotten excited over the Lite revision; each having their own reasons for their excitement, but mostly agreeing on the fact that it aims strictly to the handheld console-playing demographic.
We are still a whole mont haway from the
Nintendo Switch Lite's release date, which is expected to launch worldwide on the 20th of September, and Nintendo is reminding players that the console in its Turquoise, Yellow, and Gray version are already available for pre-orders.
Nintendo also revealed that a
Pokémon Sword & Shield version of the
Nintendo Switch Lite is being released — although this version is expected to launch on the
15th of November, but pre-orders for this version are also currently open via the
official Nintendo Switch website.
A new addition to the Nintendo Switch family will arrive on 9/20. Nintendo Switch Lite is compact and lightweight, making it easy to take on the go! This dedicated handheld device lets you play all Nintendo Switch games that support handheld mode. It will be available in three different colors.
