We are almost exactly one month away from the release of the highly anticipated Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and fans of the series have quite a number of reasons to be excited for this prequel to the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
For starters, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is in the series' canon, and will be taking place 100 years before the events in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This will give players the chance to play through the events that actually led to Calamity Ganon taking control of Hyrule.
As a proper prequel, players will be able to not only see how the story unfolded, but they will also be able to play as all of the four Champions of Hyrule, as well as Princess Zelda and Link, and even other characters from the past like Impa, as opposed to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, where players only play as Link.
While Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity isn't a game that will focus on exploration, that doesn't mean that there won't be any exploration, although this will obviously be slightly more restricted. As such, there my be incentives to look for special items, or even other creatures like the Koroks.
In the most recent trailer for the upcoming Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Nintendo reveals that Koroks will, indeed, be making a comeback, and chances are that players will also have to look for them within the game, which is actually one of the longest, albeit purposeless quests in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Players will remember that Koroks, once found, would give players some mysterious Korok Seeds, which were actually useful to upgrade the size of your inventory, but the reward for collecting all 900 Korok seeds was shit. No, seriously, the game actually rewarded players with a golden poop, which made us all realise that Korok seeds were always just poop. Hopefully the reward won't be poop this time around.
