Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is only a few days away from finally becoming available on Nintendo Switch — giving players a hack and slash title that will tell the story that took place before the events of the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

A playable demo of the game has been available for about a month now, and this has given players the chance to try out Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for themselves, but this also showed that there were still some issues that the developers needed to address before the game finally hits store shelves.

The original Hyrule Warriors ran at 30FPS on the Nintendo Wii U, but when the game was ported to the Nintendo Switch the developers at Koei Tecmo capped it at 60FPS, so players expected this to be the case with the new game, and the demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity revealed that this was not the case.

Today we have some good news, and some slightly disappointing news about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and we'll start with the bad ones. Now that some people has already had access to the game for reviewing purposes, spoilers for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity have managed to make their way online, so fans who are currently waiting for the game to release should tread carefully the web.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a game that has been confirmed to be in the canon of The Legend of Zelda series. While this is a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players already know the outcome, but the story itself can still be ruined by the spoilers doing the rounds.

The good news is that now that the same people who have already played Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity(shout-outs to the people over at NintendoLife for the heads up) are reporting that framerate issues seen in the game's demo have been addressed by the developers, and are no longer an issue.

Join the struggle that brought Hyrule to its knees. Learn more about Zelda, the four Champions, the King of Hyrule, and more through dramatic cutscenes as they try to save the kingdom from Calamity. Play the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity game to see firsthand what happened 100 years ago.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on Friday the 20th of November.
