Early today we reported that Nintendo may have accidentally revealed Kirby Fighters 2, sequel to the Nintendo 3DS' Kirby Fighters Deluxe, and that said game would be releasing for the Nintendo Switch at some point later this year.
The information seemingly came from Nintendo, but it was quickly pulled from the official website — so all we had were a bunch of sources sharing images, but no official news from neither Nintendo nor developer HAL Laboratory; that is, however, until just recently.
Nintendo has just officially announced Kirby Fighters 2 for the Nintendo Switch, with an action-packed gameplay trailer that will give players a pretty good idea of what to expect from this particularly charming fighting game.
What's more interesting is the fact that Nintendo made the game available today, and players can easily purchase Kirby Fighters 2 from the Nintendo Switch eShop for a mere $19.99 USD.
Kirby Fighters 2, much like its predecessor, allows players to be joined with up to four other players and fight either team or individual battles. In classic Nintendo fashion, the game can be played locally on one Nintendo Switch system, or online with other players; be it friends or random players online.
