It is true that
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a spin-off title of the mainline series, but it actually shares quite a bunch of similarities with the more traditional Pokémon games — especially when it comes to fighting different types of Pokémon and figuring out which types are weak/strong against what.
