Luigi's Mansion 3 will be making its exclusive debut on the Nintendo Switch on October 31st — Halloween! Ahead of its release, Nintendo has begun to release some new trailers and videos which show off the game in action.
While
Luigi's Mansion 3 is a singleplayer game for the most part, the upcoming game can also be played through by two players cooperatively. However, what you might not be aware of is that
Luigi's Mansion 3 features a couple of full-blown multiplayer modes. One of these modes is called ScreamPark and pits two teams of players against each other.
The mode allows up to eight players to participate at a time. It's local multiplayer too which means that everyone who's taking part is doing so on the same system and screen. At launch, ScreamPark consists of three different modes —
more will be added at a later date as paid downloadable content.
While you can see ScreamPark in action for yourself by checking out the below gameplay video, Nintendo describes each of the three multiplayer modes as follows:
-
Coin Floating: The team to collect the most coins wins. Don't pop your floaty on the mines falling from above or you'll drop all your coins!
-
Ghost Hunt: Defeat ghosts to earn points! Some ghouls are worth more than others. Is that a special specter hiding in the gravestones?
-
Cannon Barrage: Work together to collect cannonballs, load and fire the cannon, and steal another player's cannonball using the Suction Shot!
Wield the upgraded Poltergust G-00 to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defenses, or summon Gooigi, an all-green doppelganger that can help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t get past alone. In ScareScraper mode, race the timer to clear various objectives on a series of floors with up to 8 players. Luigi’s Mansion 3 will suddenly appear on the Nintendo Switch this holiday 2019!
Luigi's Mansion 3 will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the October 31st, 2019.
