One of the things that
Luigi's Mansion 3 was heavily criticised for when it was first revealed, was the fact that it looked like a game that could've easily been released on the Nintendo 3DS; mainly because the art style was the same used in
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS.
While there was obviously a graphical improvement, fans were somewhat disappointed that the game wasn't pushing the Nintendo Switch's hardware like
Super mario Odyssey did; that is, until the new trailers were released.
The new trailers for
Luigi's Mansion 3 showed that the game was now looking better than ever; not to mention that its gameplay had completely captured the essence of the original Luigi's Mansion released on the GameCube back in 2001.
Recently, Twitter user
@NitroRad shared some side-by-side screenshots of
Luigi's Mansion 3, comparing how the game looked on the reveal trailer, and how the game looks now that it has already become available for the Nintendo Switch; showing some major changes in textures, as well as dynamic lighting and shaders.
Be sure to open the following images in a new tab in order to see them in all of their full splendour:
Wield the upgraded Poltergust G-00 to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defenses, or summon Gooigi, an all-green doppelganger that can help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t get past alone. In ScareScraper mode, race the timer to clear various objectives on a series of floors with up to 8 players. Luigi’s Mansion 3 will suddenly appear on the Nintendo Switch this holiday 2019!
Luigi's Mansion 3 is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
