New Trailer For The SNES Classic Hypes The Upcoming Retro Console's Release

Were you one of the lucky ones that secured a pre-order for the SNES classic yesterday? If it's anything like the NES Classic, gettign one for retail will prove tricky.

Just as quickly as a new SNES Classic trailer surfaced yesterday, pre-orders at several retailers including Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Game Stop went live...only to sell out in a matter of minutes. Online pre-orders for these retailers were sold out within in seconds, thanks to the frustrating advent of re-seller "bots"- computer programs that comb the internet for hard to find items and buy up an outlet's entire inventory.

That's exactly what happened with the NES Classic last year and eBay auctions for the SNES are already at $300, well above the console's $80 retail price.  If you're looking to secure an SNES Classic at retail price, your best bet is to try physical, brick-and-mortar stores.

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System™: Super NES Classic Edition has the original look and feel, only smaller, and pre-loaded with 21 games!

Available September 29th!
