Luigi's Mansion is a ghost-hunting game developed and published by Nintendo that was released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001.
The game stars Luigi in his first official solo adventure, in which sees himself exploring a mansion he won in a contest he didn't even enter. As the story begins to unfold, Luigi realises that his brother Mario has been abducted by ghosts and he will do anything necessary to save him.
Luigi's Mansion is a game that, at the time, was showing off the capabilities of Nintendo's new hardware, the Nintendo GameCube, by becoming one of its launch titles—becoming somewhat of a cult classic by fans of the green hatted plumber.
Earlier this year, Nintendo announced that they were working on a Nintendo 3DS remake of the classic
Luigi's Mansion for the GameCube. Today we get a new not-so-spooky trailer for
Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS—as well as an official release—and the game will be releasing on the
12th of October—just in time for Halloween.
