Nintendo has just revealed that a Nintendo Direct that will be focusing on the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be streaming next week; with a 15-minute-long presentation that promises to deliver more information on the anticipated new entries in the Pokémon series.

This Pokémon Direct will be streamed on Wednesday the 5th of June at 6AM Pacific Time, where it is very likely that we will finally get an official release date for Pokémon Sword & Shield.

Nintendo streaming this Pokémon Direct a week before this year's E3 is a great way to make room for other announcements during their E3 presentation; plus, it is also likely that the game will be playable at Nintendo's booth — so we'll probably get to see even more about the game, and everything it has to offer.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be set in Galar, an expansive region with many environments—idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. The people and Pokémon live together in this region, and they’ve worked together to develop the industries here.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be available for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.
