Demand for Switch is not declining, as the financial statements say that Nintendo Switch found 7,63 million customers in the first seven months of its release. The score is more than pleasing, especially after poor start of Wii U, but Nintendo wants more. According to an anonymous source, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the company has bold plans to sell 25 to 30 million consoles until March 2019, but Nintendo waits with forecasting to see how the Switch will do on holiday sales.
Analysts predict that Nintendo would sell at least 17 million consoles in the first year of the Switch. There's no denying that strong support of the system from the Nintendo studios, but also third-party developers (like Ubisoft Milan and their
Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle or id Software and
Doom) helped the Switch to achieve it's tremendous, but well-deserved success.
