Mario Tennis Aces' roster is getting bigger, as Boom Boom joins the game as the second tennis player in the latest batch of DLC characters announced in November of last year.

The announcement made in November featured Super Mario Galaxy's Luma, Donkey Kong(1981) and Super Mario Odyssey's Pauline, and Boom Boom; one of the Super Mario Bros. series' recurring mini bosses.

Like with previous characters that have joined Mario Tennis Aces as post-launch downloadable content, Boom Boom will become available for players who participate in the Mario Tennis Aces Online Tournament that begins on the 1st of February and ends on the 28th of the same month; becoming available for players who chose not to participate on the 1st of March.

The latest gameplay trailer for Mario Tennis Aces introduces us to Boom Boom, who is a Defensive type character, and shows off some of his skills and his Special Shot.
