Mario Kart 8 Deluxe keeps getting a lot of love from Nintendo, and all for good reason; the game is arguably one of the best titles in the series and has been very popular among Nintendo Switch owners.
Another product by the Japanese based company that has been getting a lot of attention is the
Nintendo Labo, which already has made possible for players to
drive their Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bikes using the Nintendo Labo Variety Kit—which includes the Toy-Con Motorbike Creation that is quite literally a bike handle-shaped cardboard construct.
Back in June Nintendo revealed the new Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 3: Vehicle Kit that came with a bunch of interesting accessories like a wheel, plane, and even submarine handles. The minute Mario Kart fans saw that wheel, they knew it was only a matter of time until it became compatible with
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via DLC.
Today, Nintendo has revealed that the new
Toy-Con 3: Vehicle Kit will, indeed, be available for use in
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, showing off how the new Nintendo Labo Wheel can be used to steer the vehicles, while the pedal "pumps the gas", thus making the vehicles accelerate—all of this by introducing the left and right Joy-Con controllers in the wheel and pedal, respectively.
While the
Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 3: Vehicle Kit won't be available until the
14th of September, it is still nice to see that Nintendo will be making the wheel compatible with
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe from the get-go—giving players more creative options to enjoy their games.
